Pedro Montoya Santos, Chief Compliance & Risk Officer, Ferrovial

Pedro is a senior international executive leader in Compliance. He is Group Chief Compliance and Risk Officer of FERROVIAL, reporting to the Board of Directors' Audit Committee. From July 2015 to January 2018, he was General Secretary Airbus Group Spain. Formerly, he created the Airbus Group Compliance Program and served eight years as Group Chief Compliance Officer. He has extensive prior experience in Legal and Governance for multinational Companies, leaders in aerospace and defense.

Dominik Becker, Chief Compliance Officer, Leader Compliance, LIXIL EMENA, Grohe

Dr. Dominik Becker has been in charge of the compliance organization at Grohe AG since May 2018 as Leader Compliance, LIXIL EMENA. Here he is responsible for compliance, trade compliance, documentary foreign business and customs.

Previously Dr. Dominik Becker is responsible for antitrust law and trade compliance at the GEA Group in Düsseldorf. Later he also took over the supervision of compliance activities. Dr. Becker can look back on extensive experience as a lawyer in antitrust law, European law and EU state aid law, which he gained in international law firms such as Clifford Chance and BDO Legal, as well as in global companies such as Metro AG

Howard Gibson, Chief Compliance Officer, Landis+Gyr

Howard has been the Chief Compliance Officer at Landis+Gyr since April 2023. Prior to this career step, he was a Senior HR professional with 20+ years of experience in both generalist and specialist HR functions. Holder of a Masters’ Degree in Leading Innovation & Change from York St John University, his key competencies include: Strategic HR Development (HR organizational effectiveness), HR Transformation, M&A integration, Talent Management, Performance Management, Training & Development (including leadership development), Organizational Culture & Climate, Employee Communications, Change Management (certified Change Master) & Employee Engagement / Motivation.

Jennie Wallin, Head of Business Risk, Vattenfall

Jennie is currently Head of Business Risk at Vattenfall with broad ERM and GRC experience as former Head of Operational risk at Klarna and ERM & GRC Director at KPMG in Nordics/Asia. Jennie was also a Member of the Board at the Swedish Risk Management Association (SWERMA) for several years and is a GRC Profile of the year nominee in Sweden 2023.

Victor Garcia, VP Internal Audit & Risk Management, Archroma

Victor is the Vice President Internal Audit & Risk Management in Archroma since early 2022, where he leads 2nd line (Risk Management & Internal Controls) and 3rd line (Internal Audit) functions. He joined Archroma after 7 years in Applus+ where he held several positions, the last of them as Risk & Internal Control Director. Before that, he started his professional career at Deloitte, holding senior consultant positions about risk management, internal control, compliance and internal audit). He is an Industrial Engineer and BBA by training, he brings knowledge with master degrees in the audit and finance fields (Master in Audit by the Barcelona School of Management – UPF, Executive Master in Finance by ESADE and Senior Management Program by IE Business School). He is also a Certified Internal Auditor and certified in COSO Internal Control by the Institute of Internal Auditors, as well as Certified Fraud Examiner by ACFE.

Cristian Galizzi, SVP, Global Head of Non-Financial Risk Management, IVU, Functional Enablement, Allianz SE

Cristian is a well-rounded Financial Services Executive with solid track records in several 1st and 2nd line of defense roles across diverse continents. Appointed as Board Member of several insurance entities in the last years, he also enjoys his role as univeristy professor at Master programs specialized in Insurance, Finance, and Risk Management.

Cristian holds several Master certificates and has a strong background in valuation and finance-related topics, as well as in business development.

Dr. Julia Wernicke, Head of Data Protection, DPO, Berlin-Chemie Menarini

As legal counsel with more than 12 years experience in data privacy and the pharmaceutical industry, she has a proven track record of giving legal advice on privacy-related matters as well as drafting and negotiating international contracts (e.g. license agreements, marketing and distribution agreements). Outside of work, she is passionate chorister and classical music enthusiast. 

Darren Dunn, Senior Corporate Counsel, EMEA, Salesforce

Darren is a UK/Ireland lawyer with over 20 years experience in investigations and regulatory compliance. He advises global companies on how to work profitably and lawfully. He focuses on business risks including: fraud, corruption, anti-competition, conflicts of interest, confidentiality breach, workplace safety and environmental crime. Within these areas, he conducts confidential, fact finding based investigations to enable remediation including employee discipline and strengthening business processes. In addition, he is currently working on compliance projects to reflect the EU Whistleblower Directive and to build in employee privacy protections to internal investigations.

Ramon Serres, Information Security Director, Almirall

Ramon is an industrial engineer and chief information security officer at Almirall (Pharmaceuticals). His areas of expertise include information security, IT governance and risk management. Serres has held various positions including business partner, IT manager for strategic projects, IT factory manager, e-business consultant and management consultant. His work has been published in the ISACA® Journal, and he has contributed to other publications and has been a speaker at events related to governance, risk and compliance, and cybersecurity.

Isabel Ann Giancristofano, Director Legal & Compliance, Condor

Isabel is a German qualified lawyer. She worked for 10 years as an insolvency specialist and M&A partner in the London office of a European law firm advising in German, English and Spanish language. In 2021 Isabel moved from London back to Germany and joined the holiday airline Condor as their General Counsel and Compliance Director. Condor is the leading German holiday airline transporting mor than 8 million passengers per year. Isabel reorganized Condor’s legal team of 20 heads and undertook a comprehensive compliance review of the company in 2023 which included the implementation of the German Supply Chain Act.

Nadja Sazligöl, Legal Counsel, Condor

Nadja is a German qualified lawyer. She worked as an associate in the legal fields of compliance, tax law and litigation in the Frankfurt office of a European law firm advising in German and English language. Since 2020, Nadja has been working as Senior Legal Counsel at the holiday airline Condor. She is part of the commercial team of Condor’s legal department and therefore manages contractual issues and legal questions of all kinds. Nadja is also a contact person for questions relating to compliance and she is responsible for implementing the German Supply Chain Act.

Dr. Patricia Bailey, Compliance Officer, RWE Renewables

Patricia Bailey started out her career as an international contracts lawyer. Having spent many years working on international contracts and M&A for law firms and companies such Alstom and Dresser-Rand (now Siemens), in 2011, she moved full-time into Compliance with MAN Truck & Bus (Volkswagen Group). In early 2023, Patricia moved into Compliance in the renewable energies sector with RWE. She is a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, holds a Ph.D. in international law from the European University Institute (Florence), and is a member of the California Bar. Based in Paris, Patricia is a French citizen and an avid scuba diver and underwater photographer.

Nicola Allocca, Risk, Anticorruption, Business Continuity and Quality Director, Autostrade

Nicola is a senior executive with proven experience in international MNEs(EU, UAE, Brazil, China), specifically in Governance, Finance & Control functions; specialized in Risk Management, Anticorruption, Performance Improvement and Strategic Consulting; expert in transformation programs and change management. He is Chair of the Business at OECD Anticorruption Committee. He is a Member of the Blue Dot Network Executive Consultation Group Member of the B20IndiaESG in Business Action Council and Inclusive GVCs for Global Trade and Investment Task Force. He has an International MBA oriented in communication, with focus on problem solving, organization and active listening.

Annette Schüller, Attorney-at-Law, and Former Group Head of Ethics & Compliance and ERM, Givaudan

Annette Schüller is an experienced leader in corporate and corporate finance law, risk management, ethics & compliance and ESG. From 2010 to the end of 2023, she was with the Givaudan group, where she built the functions of Ethics & Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, Crisis Preparedness and Data Protection and served as the secretary of the board of directors of Givaudan SA from 2011 to 2023. From 2010 to 2017, she was also part of the sustainability steering committee of Givaudan. Ms. Schüller started her professional career in 1999 as a corporate finance lawyer at the then U.S. law firm Holme Roberts & Owen LLP in London, UK. In 2004, she moved to Tetra Laval International where she held various legal positions and served on the board of the employee pension fund. Additionally, Ms. Schüller currently serves as a member of the board of Ethics & Compliance Switzerland. Ms. Schüller holds various law degrees in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States. She is a German lawyer (“Volljurist”), admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the state of New York, U.S and has a Ph.D. in law on the subject of executive compensation from the university of Tübingen, Germany. She is also a CFA Charter holder and has taken part in various leadership programs at IMD, Switzerland.

Carmen Ortiz de Ciolac, Senior Compliance Counsel - EMEA, ASICS Europe

Carmen is Senior Compliance Counsel at ASICS Europe, she specializes in regulatory and internal company policy compliance and commercial contract review for different distribution channels. Before this role, she served as Head of Merger Control in the National Competition Authority of El Salvador. She holds a master degree from the University of Glasgow and a master degree from Utrecht University. She is a fan of football and is part of a local team, in her free time she enjoys acrylic painting. 

Kurt Wellens, Head of Assurance, TVH

Kurt is currently holding the position of Head of Assurance at TVH, steering a team of motivated compliance professionals in the field of Customs & Trade, Product and Conduct. In the past Kurt assisted organisations across different industries in meeting their compliance and internal control requirements. As such, Kurt has assisted several clients in reviewing governance structures, executing risk assessments, developing compliance management systems and monitoring tools, internal audit methodologies & plans and managing internal audit assignments, etc. Specific tasks with regard to these assignments include e.g. the development of risk management processes, the facilitation of risk management workshops and mapping enterprise risk profiles, the development and testing of control frameworks and the development of monitoring and reporting tools, executing management interviews on entity level controls, performing quality assurance reviews and training of audit staff, etc.. Kurt has led different Internal Audit and Sarbanes Oxley engagements at local and international clients.
